Make A Difference!
Take a few minutes to
go from good intentions to good works this
holiday season by participating in the Volunteer
Center of the Lehigh Valley's Holiday Hope Chest
campaign!
What is Holiday Hope Chests?
Holiday Hope Chests is a national project adopted by the
Volunteer
Center of the Lehigh Valley, Moravian College, and Northampton Community
College to help less fortunate children living in the Lehigh
Valley. Collected Chests (shoeboxes) will be distributed in the
Lehigh Valley through agencies serving children throughout the holiday
season. This is a great project for large and small groups, clubs,
classes, families, and individuals.
How Can I Participate?
Just REGISTER
and go! We open registration in September
and collect/distribute the Holiday Hope Chests
in late November/ early December. For
registration we require that you provide an
approximate number of boxes you hope to
contribute, and specify the age/gender of your
boxes.

Just a few
simply steps to create your Holiday Hope Chests.
Step 1: Complete the registration form
or the attached participation form. [2007
REGISTRATION CLOSED]
Step 2: Set your
organization/company collection goal whether
it is 5 or 500 you can make a difference!
Step 3: Wrap the top and
bottom of a shoebox separately only standard
shoebox-sized boxes please.
Step 4: Collect new
items for the box based on the gender/age of
recipient. See attached form for more ideas.
Step 5: Attach gift tag to
wrapped box lid.
Step 6: Drop off completed
boxes at one of the arranged times or
Step 7: Request a match
so you can deliver your completed Holiday Hope
Chests directly to the agency.
