Thank you to the 42 families & individuals; 27 businesses; 17 agencies/organizations; 12 schools; 7 Brownie & Girl Scout troops; and 6 congregations, who created and donated over 3700 Holiday Hope Chests to benefit 23 local youth serving agencies!
Each year, caring folks in the Lehigh Valley - individuals, families, youth groups, businesses and corporate partners - create magical holiday memories for local children by taking part in Holiday Hope Chests (see testimonials below). This simple, easy to complete project needs only a shoe box, your imagination and a generous spirit, to create priceless memories for underprivileged children this holiday season. Start your shopping and get in a holiday giving mood by joining your Lehigh Valley neighbors in the Holiday Hope Chests project in 2013.

"What a wonderful start to celebrate this holiday season by caring and sharing with others! You have given a family a great start and great hope for the New Year." Families First
"The Holiday Hope Chests will assure a wonderful Christmas for some of our families who, otherwise, would have nothing to offer their youngster. The willingness of your donors and volunteers have made clear to these families that Christmas miracles are not the stuff of fiction." Visiting Nurse Association of St. Luke's
"For the past 2 years, the Chemicals Group has participated in the Holiday Hope Chests Program. In addition to helping many children across the valley, it promoted and in some cases created camaraderie, friendship, laughter, a little competitiveness (for creative decorating of the shoeboxes), and a sense of unity within our department. I was lucky enough to be at the Shelter when some of the boxes arrived. The kids heard the truck and went to the windows...The looks on their little faces pressed up against the glass, smiling ear to ear, then jumping around with excitement yelling Santa Claus! Santa Claus! ...well, I don’t’ think I’ve ever felt more proud, or more grateful to be a part of such a project".
"Our employees look forward to this event every year! . They save their shoeboxes all year long and watch for bargains for their boxes. Over the last six years our employees have had a great time participating in this annual event and helping out the children of the Lehigh Valley." Aetna
