Life Saving Animal Shelter Needs Volunteers Everyday For Many Tasks

Thank you so much for being interested in the

Volunteer Program at The Center for Animal Health & Welfare.

We are always in need of assistance to take care of our animals and run our programs.

We strive to open our doors to anyone who wants to support our work in the community and help homeless pets.

We offer opportunities to volunteer for community service and court-mandated community service.

We accept applicants starting at age 12, although 12-15-year-olds must have a parent or guardian supervising/volunteering alongside them. You must be 18 or older to walk a dog on your own.  If you are younger than 12 and would like to help out, we can create a unique opportunity for you; you can stop by and read to one of the dogs or cats residing in our facility through our Friends of Fred Reading Program during our regular operating hours.

Please note that we are open to volunteers at the following times:

The following volunteer opportunities are available:

  • dog walking and enrichment
  • cleaning and care
  • table attendant for offsite events
  • dog handler for offsite events
  • grounds and maintenance help
  • cat and dog foster
  • cat enrichment/grooming
  • transport

I appreciate your commitment to the homeless pets in our community!

The opportunity date and time you are looking for is no longer available.
