Adopt a Foster Child or Family for Christmas
Interested in blessing a child or family this Christmas? This year, we have two fun opportunities to give back and share generosity.
Stuff a Stocking:
At our annual Christmas party, Santa will be handing out a personalized stocking to each of the children in our program. This includes foster children, children adopted through foster care, as well as the biological children who are sharing their homes and parents with their foster and adoptive siblings. If you love to Christmas shop, this is definitely the opportunity for you! Just let us know how many stockings you would like to sponsor and we will provide you with the name, age, gender, and interests of each child. Purchase a stocking and stuff it with items specially chosen for that child, then drop it off to our Allentown office no later than Friday, December 2. All gifts purchased must fit inside of the stocking.
Help a Family Connect:
Welcoming a new child into your home can be scary and overwhelming. We want to give our foster and adoptive families the opportunity to invest in their relationship and connection. We are asking each family to come up with an idea for something that will help them connect - whether it is tickets to an event or experience, a game or toy, or materials to make a special meal or craft together (or whatever other creative idea they come up with!). If you would like to sponsor a family, please let us know and we will help to match you with an opportunity that fits your budget and preferences. We are estimating about $100 per family for these gifts, but it may be more or less depending on the size of the family and the gift they are requesting. Family gifts will be presented to our families at our annual agency Christmas party, and must be turned in to our Allentown office no later than Friday, December 2.
