Opportunity Details
Lehigh County Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) is a non-profit organization seeking dedicated volunteers to speak up for the needs of children who are in foster care.
Lehigh County CASA volunteers advocate to build hope and opportunities for our community's most vulnerable citizens. This volunteer opportunity is unlike any other volunteer experience. Lehigh County CASA volunteers are sworn officers of the court and are considered the eyes and ears of the Judge. CASA volunteers not only advocate for the best interests of the child in court, they also visit the child at home or in placement, monitor how the child is doing in school, observe visitations between the child and parents, and keep in regular contact with the child. The relationship they build gives a different perspective for the Judge to consider in each case, regarding what is in that child's best interests. CASA volunteers aid the Court in securing safety and permanence in an expeditious manner. Become a CASA Volunteer!
