Advisory Council Member
The Salvation Army Foster Care & Adoption Program believes every child deserves a safe, loving, and caring home, and we work to find homes and families for children in the foster care system or who are waiting to be adopted. The need in our community is great, and it continues to grow. Our program’s mission statement is Doing the Most Good by Nurturing Children, Strengthening Families & Engaging Communities, and as part of our Advisory Council, you can have a powerful impact on the lives of foster and adoptive children and families in our community.
Members of the Advisory Council will share their gifts in service to our mission by providing our organization with their professional expertise; diverse knowledge of constituent perspectives; connections to local resources, colleagues or peers; philanthropic support and other forms of needed assistance. The Advisory Council will not have governing function within the organization but will instead guide us in making critical decisions regarding practice, economics, organizational change and development.
