Opportunity Details
Bethlehem Emergency Sheltering is partnering with the Bethlehem Area Public Library to provide a starting point for those at the library who are experiencing homelessness, risk of homelessness, or who are in need of resources. Volunteers will be asked to input guest info into a software database, assist in searching for housing resources, provide information on local shelters and soup kitchens, assist guests with applying for employment, or benefits. Volunteers will also be asked to maintain an information rack for the general public to access.
Hours: Monday-Friday 9am-1pm (Volunteers do not need to volunteer each day. They may volunteer according to their schedule.)
Skills involved: Navigate computer search engine, Microsoft Office, relay information in written form and verbally.
Age Minimum (with Adult): 18+, Minimum Age:18+
