Fighting cancer with style since 1974! - Set-Up Volunteers Needed
The Boutique at the Rink is an organization of Lehigh Valley volunteers dedicated to supporting cancer services in the community through the annual sale of new and gently used items.
For over 47 years, we have worked together to:
• Help support families - patients, caregivers and loved ones - dealing with cancer.
• Combine the individual skills, talents, and compassion of our volunteers to make a difference.
• Bring hope to others by raising money in a fun, unique setting.
The following positions are needed for Set-Up
May 3 - May 24
Mon. & Wed., 9am-7pm
Tues., Thurs., Fri., & Sat., 9am -1pm
Department Head (e.g. Toys, Housewares, etc.): Oversee your own area of the Boutique! Organize and display merchandise. Be creative! Supervise and schedule continuous coverage of your area, with volunteers dedicated to organize and hang merchandise. Must be at the Rink June 3 for clean-up of your area.
Department Attendant: Hang, fold, organize and arrange donations in the merchandise area of the rink. Work in one area, or be flexible and plan to help out in whatever department needs you.
Construction Crew: Lift and move tables, boxes and equipment. Assemble racks, shelving and dressing rooms. Hang signage in rink and along the street.
Sorter: Lift bags and boxes of donations onto sorting tables. Sort the arriving donations and send separated items to the appropriate department in the rink.
Receiver: Greet our donors. Help with unloading of cars and carrying merchandise into the lobby. Also assist the sorting areas by taking merchandise to the rink areas. Assist with collecting recycling and trash from all departments to place in appropriate bins.
Due to the nature of this event all volunteer positions involve physical activity
