Reception Desk Volunteer


The ideal availability of this position is 2-4 hours, 10am - 2pm, Monday-Friday, and may expand if able.

 

Reception desk team members will:

  • Monitor cameras and buzz visitors into the building
  • Greet visitors in a courteous manner 
  • Notify other team members of their visitors 
  • Answer the telephone, determine caller needs, and direct calls to the appropriate person or department when necessary
  • Accept packages and mail
  • Assist with other office duties as needed. 

Skills and Qualifications

  • Verbal and written communication skills to interact clearly with visitors, vendors and other employees
  • Organization skills to keep accurate records and find important information quickly
  • Time management skills to prioritize and complete a side variety of tasks throughout the day
  • Patience and listening skills to respond appropriate and interact positively with upset visitors
  • Interpersonal skills to create a pleasant experience for all customers, such as being personable and attentive
