Backpack Day Collection Drive 2024
In collaboration with Steve Flowers, local business owner and philanthropist, Third Street Alliance is hosting the Annual Backpack Collection Drive at Third Street Alliance on Mon., Aug. 19th from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Every year we provide backpacks filled with school supplies for more than 500 Easton-area children and youth. And Steve and his friends provide children with haircuts.
But, we need your help to make this community event a huge success!
Donate! Backpacks, lunchboxes, and reusable water bottles
- Host a collection drive at your business, church, or civic group.
- Donate pre-filled backpacks or other items from Amazon and have them delivered to us at Third Street Alliance.
- If you prefer to make a monetary donation via check, please make your check out to: Third Street Alliance and mark the memo: “Backpack Drive.”
- To make an online donation, click here and indicate “Backpack Drive,” in the comments section.
To arrange a drop-off between Mon., Aug. 5th - Fri., Aug. 9th, please email volunteer@thirdstreetalliance.org with subject line: “Back Pack Drive” or call 610-438-9436.
Volunteer!
- Fill donated backpacks with school supplies on Mon., Aug. 12th from 5:30 – 8:00 p.m.
- Organize volunteers from your business, church, or civic group to volunteer on Mon., Aug. 19th from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. There are two shifts: 9am-12 pm and 12pm-3pm.
- Volunteer on the day of the event with event logistics like directions, foot traffic control, handing out back packs, and handing out water & snacks.
- Join our Planning Meetings from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. on:
- Mon., July 8th
- Mon., Aug. 5th
- Mon., Aug. 12th
If you have a child volunteering with you, please make sure they stay with you at all times.
