Shoebox Squad for Holiday Hope Chests 2021
We are looking for volunteers to wrangle shoeboxes from local shoe stores for our Holiday Hope Chests Program!
You can:
- Visit shoe stores close to you and ask when is a good day to pick up shoeboxes - before they get thrown out! - and bring them to the Volunteer Center.
- Join the Shoebox Squad to go to specific stores on a weekly basis that have already agreed to hold on to shoeboxes for our program, pick them up, and bring them to our office. These stores include but are not limited to those located at the Airport Shopping Mall in Allentown, the Promenade Shops in Center Valley, the Palmer Park Mall in Easton. Individual shoe stores that can be approached are: Emmaus Run In in Emmaus, DSW in Hamilton Crossing, Aardvark on Main St. Bethlehem.
- Can you be on-call? If you have a fairly open schedule where you can visit a store to pick up boxes and deliver them to our office with little notice, you can be a part of our Shoebox Emergency Squad!
You will need large bags to collect the boxes - what ever works best to fit in your vehicle! We do have an assortment of large bags in our office we can give you in advance (or when you drop off your first batch of shoeboxes.)

Our office is located in the Banana Factory, 25 West Third Street Bethlehem and we can receive your collection of shoeboxes Monday thru Friday, 9AM - 4PM.
Or, you can drop off boxes at Cancer Support Community, 944 Marcon Blvd #110, Allentown, PA 18109, Monday thru Friday, 9AM - 3PM.
