Learn how to make the biggest impact at a local level through our youth programming. Teaching and learning about social determinants of health, as well as understanding the influence and impact a person has on their community is an important life skill.
High school students from around the Lehigh Valley collaborate to build leadership skills and make an impact in our community through volunteer service. Participants develop relationships with other like-minded students, learn transferable skills, meet community leaders, and explore career options while building their resumes.
Leadership + service = YLEAD. The next generation of community leaders develop at YLEAD, a one-week summer program. Local high school students make lasting connections with nonprofits, employers and each other while volunteering and building skills to better themselves and society.
Volunteering is a wonderful way for families to spend time together while making a difference on a regular or one-off basis. Whether in-person or at-home, service activities can engage young hands and shape minds while helping those in need, from animals to the elderly, to those with special needs and even families like yours.
