The Board of Directors is the governing body for the organization, making decisions about the mission, financial objectives and programming. Board members participate on committees such as finance, administration, board development, resource development, etc. Our ideal Board size is fifteen members.
Board prospects are reviewed by the Executive Committee prior to being approved by the full Board. We continually look for members who will represent the diverse populations we serve and bring their expertise and new perspectives to guide the organization. Particular expertise in these areas is desirable: legal, finance/accounting, human resources, fundraising and marketing. Our upcoming recruitment review will be for 2024 membership.
