MKBC Needs your help at our Donor Centers and Blood Drives.
Someone needs to give out snacks with a smile while monitoring the donors and making sure they are doing well after donating. Why not you? Have fun meeting new people and helping your community at the same time! Canteen Attendants attend to blood donors after the donation process is complete. They offer a drink and a snack, while ensuring the donor is feeling well and remains in the canteen for at least 15 minutes.
We need volunteers that can help at our Pittston donor center. There are fill in shifts available, days and time vary, these are ongoing opportunities. This does require an online training with a test along with Child care clearances and PA state clearances (which are free for volunteers)
Volunteers are also needed at community events.
If the canteen isnt for you, we have office duties that can be done at all our donor centers, filing, making reminder phone calls, T-shirt folding, stuffing envelops, some light computer entery.
At this time, we cannot fulfill community service hours.
Every 2 seconds someone needs blood. Please consider helping us make sure it is available.
