Kitchen Hospitality Volunteer

Kitchen Hospitality Volunteers Description:

Participate in additional, specific training for working in the kitchen.

Get to know our community members by heating sandwiches, distributing snacks, and preparing coffee.

Help organize food donations as they arrive at the Center.

Provide basic kitchen cleaning, such as washing out coffee makers, cleaning a minimal number of dishes such as a serving platter and serving spoons, and disinfecting kitchen counters.

Work with the CBC Director to follow Health Department protocols for cleaning and taking care of our kitchen.

In collaboration with all volunteers and staff, circulate throughout the Center to tidy up throughout the day, throwing out trash, pushing in chairs, and generally ensuring our space is welcoming, safe, and clean.
RCI is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that was established in 2015. We are guided by our vision of Allentown as a community where everyone has a role to play, a diverse network of social support, and a connection to the place they call home. Our programs serve over 150 Allentown residents, including people experiencing homelessness or housing instability, people who are socially isolated, people living with significant histories of trauma and mental illness, and the working poor.
