Volunteer Coordinator

Role Overview:

A Volunteer Coordinator plays a crucial role in organizing and managing volunteer efforts to support our mission. This position involves recruiting, training, and coordinating volunteers for various programs and events. The Volunteer Coordinator ensures that volunteers are effectively integrated into our organization, contributing to our goals while gaining valuable experience. This role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and a passion for community building.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Member Engagement: Assist in creating and implementing strategies to engage and retain our volunteers effectively.
  • Communication: Act as the main point of contact for member inquiries, ensuring timely and professional responses.
  • Database Management: Maintain and update the volunteer database, keeping records accurate and current.
  • Outreach: Conduct outreach to potential volunteers using various channels such as email, phone, and social media.
  • Event Coordination: Help plan and execute member events, workshops, and networking opportunities.
  • Feedback Collection: Gather and analyze volunteers feedback to identify areas for improvement and enhance overall satisfaction.
  • Reporting: Generate reports on volunteer trends, engagement metrics, and other relevant data.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with marketing and events teams to promote volunteer benefits and opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Skills:
    • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
    • Attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
    • Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Hours: Varies per week, hours are limited. Might include evenings and weekends for specific events.
